- Height: 8 - ?? feet (2.4 - ??m)
- Max. Diameter: 1/2" (1.25cm)
- Hardiness: -29°C (-20°F)
- USDA Zone: 5a
- Light: Mostly Shade
Of the jiuzhaigou family, jiuzhaigou '10' exhibits yellow culms. Culms tend to grow in a more open spaced habit. New culms emerge a vibrant green but slowly age to a yellow colour. The thin culms and small delicate leaves gives this clumping bamboo a very elegant appeal. As with any of the Fargesia jiuzhaigou family, this is yet another beautiful specimen for those seeking a smaller bamboo with yellow culms.
Very cold hardy here in the Pacific Northwest and well suited for the outdoor garden. A rare bamboo and a fairly new cultivar, the maximium height is still unknown.
